Art won the Cane in 51.1, in a somewhat flat effort. He held of pocket sitter Badlands Nitro by maybe a half length.
Off that effort I am not sure my 5-1 price for the Jug is that good. I think Santanna can beat him if he races similarly. 13-1 on him is a nice price, I think.

Watch and listen to the replay and tell me what the announcer said he won by. What kind of a neck?
RG
RG,
A gutsy neck. I dunno, I kinda felt he was all out. Post position didn't really matter considering nobody had the "guts" to park him a little bit.
best regards,
Louis.
My hearingt isn't that great but I've watched the replay 4 times and it sounds like the race caller said " by a f*****g neck." Probably was into the race and forgot what he was doing.
RG
Lederman is wacky, but not that wacky :)
To be honest, I think Lederman has lost a step. All these years of everybody saying how good he was has got to his head. Now he tries too hard and it just isn't the same.
If we could only go back and listen to some audio back in the Garden State Park days, now... those were some good years for Larry.
Louis.
I listened on standardbredcan and maybe it was "gutsy".
