Dewey has drawn the ten post in the Futurity this weekend:
1. Big Apple Deli (Ron Pierce)
2. Guida Muscles (Dave Palone)
3. Holiday Credit (Ron Pierce)
4. Crazed (Tim Tetrick)
5. Define The World (Paul MacDonell)
6. Celebrity Secret (John Campbell)
7. Cloud Casino (John Campbell)
8. Make It Happen (Ray Schnittker)
9. Clerk Magistrate (Trevor Ritchie)
10. Deweycheatumnhowe (Ray Schnittker)
This will be a huge test for the colt, as there are some good ones inside of him. Define the World will be my pick. He was super last week at Mohawk and at the speedy Red Mile track he might be able to go 51 and a piece. I think Dewey will have to be very sharp and better than last week to win this thing. One thing you know with him though - he will try his guts out.
This is interesting if Dewey does lose the first heat. If he draws inside in heat two we could be in for one of those gut wrenching (I call them anachronistic) three heaters.
Somebeachsomewhere drew post three in the Tattersalls:
1. Dali
2. Lonestar Legend
3. Somebeachsomewhere
4. Blue Claw
5. Riggins
6. Major Hottie
7. Upfront Hannahsboy
I was hoping Dali drew in against Art Official, as I would like to take a small stab at him. The question for me is: Will Sombeach bounce? One training session and one huge all out race off a sickness sometimes results in a horse bouncing, even in harness. MacGrath seems to be confident however.
The second division looks like Art Official will be 1 to 5. The bad news is, he is skipping the Messenger. He, Beach and Shadow Play would have been something!
